Well hot darn it!!! It is much like the other Alternators that have been made except it resembles more of the Generation 1 look after it is transformed.
And its to scale 1/24 to be precise.
AND it has a model police woman that fits inside when the robot is transformed into vehicle mode.
In car mode Red Alert* is a Impreza WRX. The woman who comes with this has a name too. AI. Is that japanese or something? Don’t know too many women with a 2 letter name.
While obviously finding this on Amazon was great, I think what was even greater was the comment review of this Transformer.
Here is a piece:
I’m almost certain that if you’ve started to look into these toys you did not do so by accident. This is a very specific model Japanese import transformer and was never released in the US. This series was released by Takara and is a special edition version of the already popular Binaltech series. The BTA (Binaltech Asterisk) series includes three different repaints of previous Binaltech models. BTA-01 is a Subaru Impreza painted to look like a police car. The car has some additional accents such as the lights and front grill that make the model a bit more unique than a simple repaint. As with all Binaltech, it is made of die-cast and plastic. All exterior parts are metal and all interior parts and joints are plastic. This is a very intricate toy and requires patience to transform correctly. I would not reccommend this toy for a kid under the age of 10.
I learned more right there than in doing a search on the subject of BTA Transformers.
There is only one left and apparently it is from a private seller.
*And what is with calling him Alert instead of Red Alert? is that a typo or something?
